Environment and Territory
The city of Florence is crossed by the principal river: The Arno River. It divides in two parts the city: the first part is called Valdarano Inferiore and the second part is called Valdarano Superiore.
The metropolitan area there are few open  space, unfortunately, but the hills that surround the whole region of Tuscany gives a final touch to the Tuscan territory. From ages the Tuscan hills still have the agricultural and housing vocation. The major part of the Tuscan hills are surrounded by woods and humid areas, which they are nearby the Arno River. Environments and Territory of Florence
Regarding the climate, Florence enjoy a continental temperate climate with warm summer periods and hard winters.
Because of the insufficient wind vane caused by its geographic position, the temperatures during the summer time tend to be higher then the cost zones. The temperatures can also get 40 degrees. Whereas during the winter periods the temperatures tend to decrease frequently till to below zero.
Precipitations tend to be concentrate during the Spring and Autumn.
The Environments and Territories of Tuscany are so peaceful and wonderful that if you have the possibility to stay in one of these beautiful places you would not return in your town or country.

  1. Interesting blog, it reminds me of Arno River, it crosses Florence, and passes below the Ponte Vecchio, the Ponte alle Grazie and the Santa Trinita bridge.
I tried to write a blog about it, hope you also like: http://stenote.blogspot.com/2018/01/florence-along-arno-river.html
